Gurudas Shenoy
Gurudas Shenoy (b. 1965) is a Bangalore-based Senior artist whose abstract visual language grows from a lifelong immersion in art and nature. Raised in Udupi within an artistic household and mentored early by M.F. Husain, Shenoy developed a practice deeply rooted in colour, rhythm, and memory.
A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda, he is celebrated for his vibrant abstract cityscapes and landscapes that translate architectural energy and natural terrain into fluid, luminous compositions. His paintings balance movement and stillness, often carrying a watercolour-like lightness within the depth of oil.
With a career spanning over three decades, Shenoy has exhibited widely across India, and his works are part of significant corporate and private collections.
Beyond his studio practice, he remains committed to nurturing younger artists through the Shenoy Art Foundation, extending his engagement with art beyond the canvas.
