Paresh Thukrul

Born in the small town of Rajapur (Ratnagiri), Paresh completed his G. D. Art (Drawing & Painting) from L.S.Raheja School of Art, Worli, and has participated in 7 group and solo shows across India.
This sensitive and talented artist enjoyed an idyllic childhood with nature, walking through woods, fields of grains and mango trees. The seashore beside his village, where he spent evenings watching sea tides, boats and sunsets has left a deep impact upon him. The memories are there to stay and are rooted within him, in a way, which are only growing stronger with time. This childhood nestled in nature acts as a huge inspirational force for his art. For example, the vastness of the sea is reflected in his use of large canvases, the colours and the harmony in his paintings.
Paresh believes his work would have no meaning if it didn’t make the viewer experience what he had experienced. To him, paintings need no explanations; they carry the emotion of the artist. They are a visual experience through the artist’s lens.
Paresh gently says, “My painting doesn't have meaning, it has the feeling which I have experienced.” And he would like the viewer to enjoy the visual treat of that canvas, the colour, the light and shadow and the harmony.
